Cinnamon Brownies (Video. Raw, Vegan, EASY!)

I recently shared with you a list I keep for ideas of easy raw foods to keep me inspired and to show me that I have tons of options. On that list is raw brownies because they always satisfy and they’re mega easy to make. With that… I share my latest recipe with you for Cinnamon Brownies (update… I just added a video below showing how I make them!).

I like cinnamon in them because cinnamon helps with blood sugar. I like using sprouted and dehydrated sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds because they have tons of great nutrition. The walnuts I’ve been using lately? Well, I was supremely blessed by my friend in Europe who sent me freshly cracked walnuts from her grandmom’s garden! She also soaked and dehydrated them for me. Can you imagine how fresh and delicious they are? I’m in love with them.

Confession: I ate 7 of these in one day.

Cinnamon Brownies

Yield one 8×8 glass baking dish (12 to 16 brownies)

Using a food processor, fitted with the “S” blade, grind the seeds, walnuts, salt, cinnamon, and chocolate powder to a coarse grind. Add the dates. Process until it starts to stick together. Press into an 8×8 glass baking dish. Enjoy!

Assuming you have no ties to any particular brand for business purposes, what’s your favorite kind of raw cacao powder? Or are you impartial? These  look great! I’d probably eat 7 if it was that time of the month. ;-)

I used to order from Navitas (I’m a chef for them), and I like it fine. But. I’m eager to try Longevity Warehouse for theirs (David Wolfe). I think there’s is a bit different. Their nibs taste the same as Navitas, but I think LW doesn’t ferment theirs or something. I can’t remember the difference. Possibly a diff variety is used too.
Even though I do recipes for Navitas, I’m not shy about times I find other products I like better. Did you see my post in Bija goji berries? ;)

No soaking. My dates are so luscious and soft as is. They measure about 2 inches each.

Love your video and the brownies look amazing!  Would they taste OK if I use unsweetened cocoa powder instead of raw chocolate powder.  I’m new to all of this!!

I made these and the taste was amazing! Loved the taste but they didn’t stick really well and were crumbly.  Any thoughts on what I did wrong?  I used 15 soft medjool dates.
