I’m sitting here eating my lunch after a Basic Yoga class.
I’m eating sardines and a large veggie smoothie. It’s soooooo not a fun lunch. I’d rather toast some of that organic 3-day fermented sourdough bread from my freezer and slather it with a butt-load of grass-fed butter. Yes sireeee that’s what I really want.
But, I’m being an extra good girl. Getting my omega fatty acids, CoQ10, calcium, vitamin D and more from the sardines and getting in some antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals from my veggie smoothie. I must want to live a long time.
Let’s see, I have 4 sardines from my can. I think I can get them down in 8 bites (2 per sardine).
Chomp. Chew. Swallow with a big glug of smoothie.

Truth be told, sardines aren’t that bad. I’ve learned to love like ’em. I wrote about it here. But, they are no where near as wonderful tasting as many other things. I buy them in bulk, as seen above (and I usually buy them in oil, but those are in water.) My daughter is enjoying her sardines with raisins and sauerkraut. Yep, I know.
