My favorite travel shampoo: Shampoo Bar.
As a traveler I look for ways to save on space, weight, as well as taking as much in my carry-on as I can.
It’s not easy.
Because we travel for extended periods of time, I prefer taking some beauty products in full-size so they last me at least a month. As a result, with TSA restrictions on liquids I have a hard time getting all of my beauty products in that small zip-bag.
And this limits me in the number of different products I can take in my carry-on. That’s not good when it comes to beauty products.
There’s a way to help though!
By having my shampoo in a bar form, I take that out of the zip-bag. This frees up space for those full-size items I desperately want to take with me! (I’ll share those items in a future post.)
The first time I saw a shampoo bar I thought… really?
I had my doubts.
I thought a shampoo bar would make my hair greasy. It seemed one of those “natural” bullshit items. By bullshit I mean an item dubbed as awesome and natural only to find out it pretty much sucks in effectiveness. I’ve experienced enough “natural” and ineffective(!) beauty products to be a skeptic.
However, the reviews for the shampoo bar intrigued me.
You couldn’t have that many people saying it was a great shampoo if it wasn’t, could you? Hmmm maybe there’s something there?
The price wasn’t attractive though. And with my frugal mind and skeptic glasses on, I didn’t want to waste money if it wasn’t going to work.
I had to decide whether to take the risk. I figured it was worth trying since the reviews were so positive. Fingers were crossed.
It was worth the risk!
I love it so much that I would use it even if I weren’t traveling. 
The shampoo bar is designed to last so that is how the price makes sense. Its convenience for travelers is awesome. And, it works! Clean and shiny hair.
