Living a Happy Sexy Millionaire life makes me feel like I walk around every day, shimmering like Edward from Twilight.
(Um, did y’all know Stephenie Meyer’s latest book for the Twilight Series, Midnight Sun, is coming out this week?!)
That’s how I feel I must look to everyone. Right?
Well, in case someone wants to crush my dream and tell me otherwise, I’ve found a few ways to add legit shimmer and sparkle to myself, so it’s not all in my mind. (It’s in your mind, too!)
- Special Shimmer Lotion
- Extra Special Nail Polish
- Rad-as-fuck Special Protection Necklace
Let’s start with the Shimmer Lotion.
Something tickled my brain last week about getting more shimmer on my skin, so naturally, I went to Amazon to search. I mean, sure, I can use a SnapChat filter all day long, but that’s not the real deal, and I know it.
Of course, I found the perfect thing.
This lotion is organic, smells delicious, and makes me look like Edward from Twilight, legit.
It’s by a company called Glimmer Goddess (perfect) and it comes in many different flavors options for level of tone and sparkle. (I bought Bronze Shimmer.)
The shimmer and glitter is OFF the CHARTS. I Love It.
Up Next… Nail Polish
I love painted nails. And my nails grow rocket-speed fast because I drink a lot of collagen every day. Two to six scoops.
But I have two issues with nail polish. First, it’s usually toxic, and I don’t need a third eyeball. And even the non-toxic stuff lacks love because, once it starts to chip, I have to live with imperfect nails or use some kind of “remover,” which is usually some kind of toxic solvent, or just another damn product.
Enter: water-soluble nail polish
The brilliance of this non-toxic dream is it has no smell (no nasties) AND it peels off, like in one piece, which is great fun for those of you who understand why that would be fun.
How does this happen?
If your hands or feet are in water for a half hour, then it starts to peel on the edge and you finish the job. (Think swimming or bathing or doing dishes — and if you’re doing dishes for that long, then you have more important issues to deal with).
I bought the pack you see above, and we were gifted their other set of colors shown here. I Love It!
The 3rd Shimmer Object in my Shimmer Tool Box…
Jewelry, of course.
I have a little story. I was on Instagram one day, and I took the plunge and ordered a necklace from an ad. What is it about Instagram ads that hit me so hard? I swear, I like everything it throws at me (this never happens on Twitter, lol).
One day, I decided to buy. I bought my daughter a necklace for her birthday.
The damn thing took a month to arrive! And although we liked it enough, it wasn’t as pretty as the pictures, and I now regard Instagram ads through slitted eyes.
The Triple Protection Bracelet!
Well, last week, I saw an ad for a beautiful bracelet. It was “must-have” at first sight. It was made with three stones for protection, and she was very purrrrty:
- Tiger’s eye for Power
- Black obsidian for Protection
- Hematite for Balance
I was, like, Me Me Me! I want that promised power, protection, and balance!
I love wearing something meaningful, where every time I see it, or my reflection in the mirror, I’m reminded of the powers I possess. The magic in my veins. (And let’s remember, it all starts in our own souls, our minds, right? But the physical object is a gorgeous reminder.)
But, based on my bad experience, I didn’t want to order from Instagram.
What did I do?
WELL!
I have a friend, Andrea, here in Scottsdale, who makes beautiful art. She’s the good witch behind some of my favorite all natural beauty products at Stark Naked. One day, I saw her post some glitzy bobbles on her Instagram page, and I thought… hmmm…. Me wonders if she could make me this bracelet as a necklace!
I fired off a message to her with a screenshot of the bracelet I wanted, and what d’ya know? She said YES!!!
And that, my friends, is how I became the proud owner of my Triple Protection Necklace (and she made me a bracelet and Kamea one, too!) AND????? She included citrine, because she’s brilliant.
So, she takes orders! Check her out. Have her make you something wonderful!
