What Is Chlorophyll?
Chlorophyll is the green pigment molecule in plants and is responsible for absorbing the sun's energy for photosynthesis. The chlorophyll molecule in plants is chemically similar to hemoglobin in human blood. The only difference between chlorophyll and hemoglobin is that the central atom in chlorophyll is magnesium, whereas in humans it is iron. As a food supplement, chlorophyll can detoxify and purify the blood and liver, help build red blood cells and aid in tissue repair.
I personally use and highly recommend Vitamineral Green — this is an excellent source of chlorophyll and my all time FAVORITE green powder. This is a must have in every kitchen cupboard. I include a tablespoon of this amazing nutrition in my life every day. By far, this is the most effective green powder on the market that I've tried.
