I have a gratitude journal that I don’t write in as regularly as I should.
So, I’m not surprised that my gratitude journal is not even half full, and I’ve been using it, based on the dates of some entries, for years. Whoops.
Sad thing is that it’s a really simple and fast exercise… usually takes me less than one minute.
I’m getting back in the habit of writing in it every couple of days.
It’s a good exercise. Good for my heart, mind, and soul. Did I mention that it’s pretty darn quick?
Interestingly, I experience more energy and a bit of pep in my step when I write down some feelings of gratitude. Some might even say that it’s better than coffee to wake you up. I agree, at least some of the time. But in my opinion, it’s best done with that cup of coffee. :)
Get a journal and take a minute to quickly write 3 to 5 things for which you’re grateful – or to put any thoughts down even if the purpose is to get them out of your head and onto paper so they stop bothering you. It works.
